In Viral Ad, Sen. Angela Paxton Urges Support For Entire Republican Ticket Including Ken Paxton

State Sen. Angela Paxton is urging Texas voters to support the full Republican ticket in November, including U.S. Senate nominee Ken Paxton, her estranged husband. In a new television ad, Angela Paxton argues that Republicans should focus on maintaining control of Texas’ U.S. Senate seat despite disagreements they may have with individual candidates.

“It’s not as much about the individual players on the team. It’s about getting the whole team across the finish line,” she says in the ad. She concludes by warning that losing Republican-held seats would give Democrats greater influence over Texas’ future and says she plans to vote for the Republican ticket on Nov. 3. The message follows similar remarks Paxton recently made to a group of Republican Women, where she stressed the importance of keeping the Senate seat in Republican hands.

Angela Paxton filed for divorce from Ken Paxton in 2025. She has largely avoided publicly discussing his Senate campaign until recently. Ken Paxton defeated U.S. Sen. John Cornyn in the Republican primary and is now facing Democratic nominee James Talarico in a closely watched general election. Public polling has shown a competitive race, though Republicans have not lost a statewide Texas election in more than three decades.

The new ad is funded by Texas PAC, a super PAC aligned with Senate Republican leadership that has spent more than $126 million supporting Paxton’s campaign. Watch the full ad here.
