A commentary from our CEO, Julie McCarty:
Is it just me, or are other parents just as sick of the doom and gloom shoved down our teens’ throats??? Can we stop with the end of the world talk? How would you have handled that as a teen? What would motivate you to strive for… well, ANY thing? Maybe Jesus is coming soon; maybe He isn’t. But we are called to be at work until He returns. Telling kids that America is over, everything is collapsing, China is taking control, and on and on and on? And then bragging about how awesome our generation was and how pathetic theirs is? Good grief. Enough.
I for one am super excited to see what God does in and through my daughter Lizzy. Do you think so little of your child that you see everything as hopeless? It takes a small minority to change the world. God has never used the masses to accomplish great tasks. I want my daughter to be one of the world-changers and to do all the big things God allows her to be a part of. Rather than sending a depressing message of hopelessness, I want to empower and equip her for greatness!
Do you feel the same? There are two men I’d like to tell you about. One is Connor Boyack, creator of the Tuttle Twins and other books for toddlers up to teens that will lead them to greatness. The other is Massey Campos, a pastor/speaker out of Florida who shares my passion in this regard.
Connor is the keynote speaker at Texas Tough this year. We’ve dropped the price to just $99, and everyone gets a free book. You also get a fancy dinner/dessert, live band, dancing, fireworks, and we shoot off cannons! Plus we’re offering free line dance and 2-step lessons leading up to the event. It’s being held at River Ranch in the Ft Worth Stockyards on April 20. We’ve even secured reduced hotel rooms if you have to travel.
Massey is one of the speakers at the conference we’re hosting July 13 to celebrate our 15th birthday. We’ve actually got half a dozen top-notch speakers plus a party that night with Chad Prather. More details on this soon.
You need to be at both! Tell the parents and grandparents you know. It’s time to throw off our shackles and take the future by storm!
